The Wrinkly.
An early retirement in an idyllic community.
Well, that was the plan.
The Wrinkly.
An early retirement in an idyllic community.
Well, that was the plan.
Approaching forty, tired of the big-city
rat race and disillusioned with his shallow relationships and meaningless career,
Mike Lewis discovers a way to swap it all for his idea of something better.
A thousand miles south he finds a place where warm, sunny days are tempered by an ocean breeze, manatees browse in the nearby shallows and people look like they’re enjoying themselves.
A place where he could play golf, paint, beach-comb, read the classics, play more golf and listen to his jazz collection any time he chooses.
It would be an idyllic early retirement.
But there’s just one problem: he has to be over 60 to join the club.
This tale of one man’s ridiculous attempt at living in a Florida retirement community – and his unexpected encounters with lust, drugs, cosmetics and an identity crisis – was written by Paul Collis, a Londoner now living in California. He adapted it from his screenplay of the same name.
